Daventry Volunteer Centre is a Local Infrastructure Organisation supporting voluntary and community organisations. We are looking to appoint a full-time project worker for our new, three-year Lottery funded project supporting elderly people with their digital technology needs. The project will increase the Health & Wellbeing of older people living in the rural areas of West Northamptonshire, by tackling the digital divide and enabling them to access health appointments, information and services, and improve connection to family and friends, using the help of a trained team of volunteers. 

The successful candidate will be educated to minimum ‘A’ level or above, with I.T. skills, excellent database management, Counselling skills, volunteer recruitment and support expertise, and experience of working with elderly people in a rural setting. Work will include networking with stakeholders, and training volunteers, and will require excellent communication and administration skills. An understanding of working across sectors will be advantageous. The project Worker support a team of volunteers and report to the project Co-ordinator. 

Access to own transport and a clean driving licence is essential (proof required at interview).
