Milk and You Project
Milk&You offers a variety of support to pregnant and new parents. They provide groups, telephone and video calls, email and face to face one-to-one help with feeding your baby, emotional wellbeing and instrumental assistance.
Funded by the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (NHS) we are available across Northamptonshire! Our project aims to support families with education around feeding a baby or young child, make informed decisions about how to feed their baby or toddler and provide practical, skilled help to ensure feeding your baby is enjoyable.
Peer Support, Parent Befriending and MUM Support volunteers are on hand to provide all types of help until your child’s 5th Birthday.
- Infant Feeding Groups are designed for families with babies from birth to 12 months (we also welcome pregnant mothers along should they want to meet other local mums). Support is tailored to you and your baby, helping you succeed at breastfeeding.
- Pregnant Families Virtual and Face-to Face groups (support person welcome) are educational, informative and relaxed! You will gain more confidence making a decision on how to feed your baby and find out how to quite literally feed a baby.

Mum B
“Milk and you is an absolutely fantastic service; they were a real lifeline when I was feeling very anxious and helpless about feeding and was in the verge of stopping breast feeding altogether. Having seen the groups advertised online myself and my husband attended a group on a whim as a bit of a cry for help. The staff, volunteers and attendees were amazing, non-judgemental, welcoming, supportive and informative. I was listened to, given supportive and practical advice, along with education I have been spreading the work and will continue to. Thank you for all you did for us”.
