Help to Work Project Co-Ordinator – 37hours/week – £12.50 per hour
The National Lottery Community Fund have awarded funding for an innovative project at DVC (the Help to Work project), that will provide tailored support to individuals looking for paid work who are facing barriers to employment due to additional needs, such as, those with lifelong physical disabilities or conditions, those without access to transport and/or technology, people aged over 50, and Carers returning to work. Flexible support will focus on improving job readiness, and will include accessing volunteering opportunities, providing training and skills building support, help with writing CV’s, IT skills and job applications, and activities aimed at increasing health & wellbeing. Other tasks will include writing personal plans, mentoring, advocacy, liaising with local referral agencies, local VCSE organisations and local businesses, and the promotion of the Help to Work project.
The Help to Work project is based at the Volunteer Centre in the centre of Daventry covering the town and the whole of the rural district.
Experience of supporting people to find paid work is essential, and an understanding of working across a wide rural area is vital. The applicant will need to have access to their own transport (mileage allowance paid) and a clean driving licence, and be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Horizon Project Worker – 10hours/week – £11.85 per hour
The Henry Smith Foundation have funded an innovative project at DVC (Horizon project), that supports and enables individuals with a wide range of additional needs to participate in volunteering opportunities, undertake training and skills building, benefit from 1-1 tailored support aimed at increasing health & wellbeing & community connections, and take part in social activities and events.
The Horizon project is based at the Volunteer Centre in the centre of Daventry. Experience of supporting with people with a wide range of additional needs, through both 1-1 and group work, is essential. Tasks will include support with skills development, group activities, mentoring, advocacy, liaising with local agencies and VCSE organisations, and promotion of the Horizon project. The applicant will need to have access to their own transport and a clean driving licence, and be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
