The New Street Centre has been at the heart of the community for nearly 50 years. It provides a space for activities and groups that promote health and wellbeing for Daventry’s elderly residents.
The day-to-day running of the Centre is managed by Daventry Volunteers and is governed by a board of trustees which is made up of members of groups who use the facilities.
COVID-19 has understandably altered and paused many groups, lunches and activities that are taking place in the Centre. We hope to restart these as soon as it is safe to do so and comfortable for all involved. To this end we have produced guidelines for all groups and individuals who use the hall space. These can be downloaded as a PDF – Covid-19 New Street Centre – Guidelines.
As well as re-opening the New Street Cafe with a reduced menu and new opening times, we are working with all groups to ensure the safe restarting of their activities. We will be publishing the new arrangements in due course on this page.
Although the Centre is used every day there are sometimes a few slots available for hire for groups. If you are interested please contact us on 01327 300614.
The Centre is in use by a range of groups every day, most of which welcome new members. Please find below the weekly activities and groups that run from the Centre.
